That's $400 each time, if I understand this correctly. So a typical job importing customer supplied surface data from Catia, for example, manipulating surfaces, and exporting for CAM will cost you $400US. So really, you are paying money to import and a lot more money to export. Why can't something as expensive as this be smart enough to know the fillet direction based off of the mouse pick locations (like Rhino does)?Īlso, there is a huge list of file types that Powershape can import, but you find pretty quickly that you need PS-Exchange to do them, which will cost you money per translation. Do all that, and yet another box pops up. That little box that pops up has me choosing whether it is to be a concave or convex fillet, you have to select a checkbox for primary surface, pick the surface, then another checkbox for secondary surface, pick the surface, then after all that, there are still vectors that may need to be toggled. I'm not impressed with the amount of mouse clicks required for a simple fillet. I'm mainly interested in it's filleting capabilities. I've been playing around with PowerShape for the last day or so.
